Whilst cutting a feature many years ago for Sundance & Bafta-nominated filmmaker Tina Gharavi, my passion for stock and old footage and montage was spurred on by looking over hours and hours and more hours of content and the journey to build a narrative from preexisting material.

Upon completing my work on the feature, I ventured into my project and approach to creating a story from the endless videos, film, sound design and music that already exist in the world.

This is 'montage' in its purist form and a film that I will continue to develop and extend into a feature as I explore the simple idea of what it means to be alive and all the complexities that come from a beating heart.

Beginning with our tribalistic tendencies, and eventually spanning out into time and space, I envisage a finale that combines the ending of '2001: A Space Odyssey', and the voice of Alan Watts.
