Written by Mike Davies, I adored this story of a little boy using the power of imagination to look after his mother through the simple act of heating a hot water bottle.

 

I went all-out hands-on as Director and Producer to make the most of our modest budget. From outfits to set design, working closely with DOP Nic Booth, Production Designer Yannick Eilers, and Co-Director Mike Davies, we worked around the clock to create a colourful world.

 

16mm felt like the right format despite budget restrictions and working with first-time child actor Mason Mingle. Our faith was rewarded through Mason's charming performance.

 

A gruelling schedule, a dedicated crew, and the energetic Mason made for a few rather late nights. However, editing this film to the original score by musician Billy Lubach, was a joy.
